VENT-XL: why your things stay dry
Every container here is a brand-new VENT-XL — Adaptainer’s patented vent system, drawing air through all four sides of the container instead of the two small vents a standard unit ships with. Rated at up to eight times the condensation-fighting airflow.
The distinction matters more than it sounds. A liner insulates. Ventilation moves the damp air out. It is why furniture stored here through a full North East winter comes out dry.

One gated site on Blyth Riverside Business Park, and most of our customers are here inside twenty minutes. Pick the page closest to you for directions, drive times and the questions people from that area actually ask.
Storage near you
Blyth is on our doorstep, five minutes from the town centre. Bedlington is about ten minutes, Cramlington and Ashington roughly fifteen down the A189, and Morpeth twenty via the A197.
Along the coast we cover Seaton Delaval, Whitley Bay, North Shields and Newbiggin-by-the-Sea. Heading south, Gosforth and Newcastle are about half an hour up the Spine Road.

If anyone is looking for a storage container these are the people to use. Richard is so helpful and nothing was a bother. Containers are all new and waterproof. We used these for over 4 months and there is no time limit. You can come and go as many times you need. Security is great so you have no worries at all. I would highly recommend these and very reasonably priced. 5 stars all round.

We received excellent service from the team at Blyth storage, we only needed our unit for a few months but needed a last minute extension & they were happy to accommodate! We had our full 3 bed house in one unit & there was more than enough room, extremely clean, no water leaks and nothing was damaged! Easy access with 24 hour access & full security! I recently rented a storage container from Richard at Blyth Storage while we were preparing to move house. The container was an excellent size and the whole place is very secure. Not often you find a business delivering a service which cares more about its customers needs than making more money. Blyth storage couldn’t do enough to support my storage needs and price was better than all other storage companies I’d approached. I really can’t recommend Blyth Storage enough. Storage questions, answered
Where exactly are you based?
Blyth Riverside Business Park, Cowley Rd, Blyth NE24 5TG. Just off the A193 and a couple of minutes from the A189, about five minutes from Blyth town centre and easy to reach from Cramlington, Ashington, Bedlington and Morpeth.
Can I look round before I book?
Yes, and we would rather you did. Ring first so someone is free to show you the sizes, then you can see exactly what you are getting rather than guessing from a website.
Can I get to my storage at any time?
Yes. Every customer gets a personal entry fob and the site is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The office is open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm.
What size unit do I need?
An 8ft container holds roughly 100 boxes, or the contents of a garage. A 10ft suits a one-bedroom flat. A 20ft takes a full three-bedroom house. A 40ft handles a four-bedroom home with the garage as well. Ring and describe what you have — we do this every day.
Will my belongings get damp?
No. Every container is a brand-new VENT-XL, wind and watertight, with vents on all four sides rather than the two a standard container ships with — so damp air is drawn out rather than sealed in. That is the difference between a ventilated container and a merely lined one. Customers have stored furniture through a full North East winter and taken it out completely dry.
Is there a minimum contract?
No long tie-in. Terms are weekly, and you can move up or down a size as your needs change without any penalty.
Can you move my things for me?
Yes. We run a man-with-a-van service across Blyth, Northumberland and the wider North East — house moves, single items, furniture collection and delivery, and business moves. If you are booking storage with us as well, ask about a discounted move.
How quickly can I move in?
Often the same day. Bring a passport or driving licence for ID and we can usually have you set up within fifteen minutes.
What can I store?
Household contents and business goods — furniture, white goods, boxes, tools, stock, archives and equipment. What we do not run is a dedicated caravan or boat storage service, so if that is what you are after you will want a specialist site. A container is a different matter: a 40ft will take a car or a motorbike under cover if that is what you need.
Do you take a deposit?
There is a refundable key deposit, returned as soon as you hand the keys back. Customers regularly comment on how quickly that comes back.
